Good little guide. Not super long which I appreciate because ironically I probably wouldnt have finished a 100 page book about consuming less content 😂. The 5 minute reset is easy enough that I’ll actually use it.
This helped me with the constant “maybe theres something better I should read first” thing. I do that all the time when trying to learn something. Sometimes you just need to stop looking and actually do it.
Wasnt expecting much honestly but I ended up liking it. The part about consuming information vs actually using it was probably the biggest takeaway for me. I save soooo much stuff and use almost none of it.
I’m one of those people who has like 40 tabs open at all times 😭. This definitely made me rethink that. I liked the exercises because they made me actually do something instead of just reading about the problem.
Simple but makes sense. I started asking myself “what am I actually looking for?” before I start searching stuff and it sounds stupidly simple but it stops me going down random rabbit holes 😂.
Honestly I mostly got this because I feel overwhelmed by how much content is everywhere now. News, tiktok, youtube, emails... its just constant. The filter was probably my favorite part.
I liked that it wasnt one of those “delete social media and change your life” guides. I still use my phone, just a little more intentionally now. Thats what I needed.
The research thing hit home for me. I’ll literally read 10 reviews before buying something that costs like $20. I didnt realize I was doing that with basically everything until going through this.
Pretty useful tbh. I’m always saving posts and videos thinking I’ll come back to them and obviously never do lol. The Save / Skip thing actually helped me stop doing that so much.
I didnt realize how much time I spend just consuming stuff online. One video turns into 10 and suddenly an hour is gone 😂. The little filter in this guide has actually made me stop and ask if I even need to look at something.
