This made me rethink the whole “I deserve this” shopping thing. Sometimes yes, treat yourself lol, but I was definitely using shopping as a little mood boost. The pause before buying has been really helpful.
I started the 30 day tracker mostly as a challenge and its already stopped me from buying a few things. One of them I completely forgot about after a week 😂 so yeah... probably didnt need it.
Not gonna lie, I thought this would be all about saving money. Its actually more about why you buy things in the first place. That was more useful for me because I know I can save money for a month and then go right back to old habits lol.
Really liked the values exercise. I think I’ve spent a lot of time buying things that looked like the life I wanted instead of actually figuring out what I want. Weirdly helpful little guide.
I have a bad habit of buying things when I’m bored. Usually cheap stuff so I never thought much about it. After doing the exercises I realized how often I was doing it. Been a lot more intentional since.
The part about buying things because of how you think they’ll make you feel was kinda uncomfortable 😂. Definitely recognized myself there. I’ve started waiting before buying stuff now instead of instantly checking out.
Pretty simple guide but I liked that about it. No “never buy anything again” type of stuff. More like figure out what actually matters to you and stop buying things just because everyone else has them.
Honestly I didnt think I was much of an impulse buyer until I started paying attention. Its usually little things but they add up. The needs vs wants section was probably my favorite.
I’ve been trying to stop buying random stuff online and this gave me something practical to actually follow. The 30 day pause is hard lol but it really makes you think twice before buying something you probably dont need.
This one actually made me look around my apartment and ask why I own half this stuff 😂. I have so many things I bought because I “might need it” and then never touched again. Really liked the Possession Check.
